Each of our car rental in Kos branches is easily accessible from the center of Kos Town or the airport. Those landing at Kos Airport (KGS) will find us in the arrivals hall. The airport, which is sometimes referred to as Hippocrates Airport, is located in the center of the island just outside the town of Antimachia. It takes just under half an hour to complete the 14.6 mile journey to Kos Town. Our Robinson Club Daidalos branch is near the Aquatica Water Park in Antimachia and also ideally placed for driving to almost anywhere on the island. Both our Kos Town branches are just a short distance from the center of the city and are well served by local buses.

Kos Town is relatively small and it is a joy to drive. It is also a great base from which to explore the beautiful Aegean Sea beaches and the quaint traditional villages that dot the island. The island is just 26 miles long so planning outings is far easier than you may have imagined, especially if you add a GPS when placing your booking for car rental in Kos. The only main road is the airport route in the center of Kos. Other roads tend to be well maintained, quiet and fairly free from traffic even during the summer months. However, it is well worth parking nearby before visiting busy landmarks like the Tree of Hippocrates.

Kos is the third largest in the Dodecanese chain of islands. The town of the same name is the largest in the island and is known for its pretty whitewashed buildings and for its proximity to numerous Ancient Greek, Byzantine and Roman ruins. Kos is said to be the birthplace of Hippocrates, he of the famous Hippocratic Oath, and the plane tree, known as the Tree of Hippocrates, where the ancient scholar once held court is an essential stop.

Be sure to visit medieval Neratzia Castle which overlooks the harbor. The port is a hive of activity and you can stop to admire luxury yachts or enjoy a break at one of the many cafes and tavernas that line the waterfront. Both Kritika Beach and Kos Town Beach are popular with locals as well as holidaymakers and, of course, the town is a great starting point for road trips in the region.

Kefalos is the westernmost town on Kos and it's a treat for both history and culture fans and beach lovers. Visit the medieval castle ruins, see the ancient site of Palatia and explore the nearby seaside resorts of Kamari, Onia and Kampos. The aptly named Paradise Beach is just a short distance from Kefalos or you can try a spot of snorkeling at Agios Stefanos beach.
