We had an unforgettable experience at Sixt. We are from Hong Kong and was initially denied rental because the staff of Sixt at the Airport refused to rent a car to us as an international driving licence holder from Hong Kong. The staff misconceived our international driving licence issued pursuant to the Treaty as a mere translation of our domestic license. We then went to OAMTC to make an enquiry and afterwards, we went to Sixt at Hilton to seek help. Different from the staff at the airport, Mr. Amin B. patiently listened to our concerns and the issues that we had with the staff at the airport. He then checked internal emails and made inquiries to different departments of Sixt to confirm the position. With his professional assistance, patience and great service, it was revealed that the staff at the airport made a mistake and should have rented a car to us. Mr. Amin B. helped to remedy the situation and even showed us the way to return to the airport to get our car. We thanked him for his helpful service and were impressed by his knowledge and professionalism!

A overall good experience with Sixt car rental in this specific location near Wien Mitte. I made a reservation for 8:00am and unfortunately we arrived late around 9am , Hussein is kind enough to help us find another car with no extra cost and gave us an upgrade. We rented a car from Sixt in Paris about 5 days before renting this one in Vienna and I think as a procedure the Sixt staff will try to sell you the gas refill service( that you pay them €80 so you don’t have to bring them a full tank of gas, in Paris it’s 63€) we tried that in Paris and we found out it only works well for you if you timed it almost perfect and can bring the car back with an almost empty tank of gas, otherwise it’s still cheaper to always try to fill your own gas and bring them full tank. Just an advice to anyone try to rent a car in the future. Anyway, Hussein was very helpful and professional during our encounter and we returned the car at the Sixt airport location after our rental period. The depoist was returned timely and everything worked out!
